Taffelpikene - ADA hun som skaper (2024) Hi-Res

The composition profession is not a profession that many women have had the chance to try. The Taffelpikene will now do something about this. Through ADA - She who creates, they present fresh, newly written music made in collaboration with seven female creators from the Norwegian music scene. The music lies on the borderland between jazz, classical and folk music, and here a lot of catchy and beautiful things arise.

"To be a composer is to be able to ask anyone to do anything," says one of the composers in ADA. You can make a piece of music based on the rhythm of the water drops hitting the ceiling. Or compose a really "fat" Harding fiddle beat. Maybe you can get inspiration from Moommindalen? Or just take the musicians completely out of their comfort zone!

This project is named after pioneering woman Ada Lovelace (1815-1852), a female computer pioneer who is recognized as the world's first computer programmer.
