In 1986, Omega went on a tour of the country with the record "The Dark Side Of The Earth". The CD sold well, and perhaps this inspired the band to create another record. In 1987, the Omega group turned 25 years old. A vinyl decorative box with their first five records was released, and in September, according to Omega traditions, a large-scale festive concert was organized at the Kisstadion. They would have liked their new record to be in stores by the day of the concert, but unfortunately the recording was not completed on time, the disc was released only at the Christmas record market. The album was called Babylon, and the songs were recorded in the band's own studio between April and September 1987. A novelty in the history of the band was that in addition to Gyorgy Molnar, Tamas Mohai also played guitar, and in some songs you can hear Ferenc Muck playing saxophone.
On the bonus disc attached to the Babylon album, you can hear details from the anniversary concert held at the Kisstadion in September 1987. Unfortunately, recordings made from several sources have been preserved in the legacy of Janos Kobor only in fragments, with different sound quality. The material, from which sound engineer Peter Rozgonyi created an almost hour-long compilation, arrived on the publisher's desk in several parts, full of errors in recording and on film. For this reason, of the large mix that was played at the concert, only Nem tuod a neved could get into the publication. Some songs lacked a beginning or an end, but those that could be called relatively complete were included in the final track list. As far as the technical conditions allowed, we tried to keep the order of the original list of songs so that those who remember this truly famous and significant concert of Omega's creativity would be the least disappointed!
The final result is not of such high quality either in content or in technical terms that it can act as an independent publication in the work of Omega, but at the same time, in its significance, it is at least no less important as a document of the period, as is the recording of the Live Aid concert. which was released as a bonus album on A Föld ácháyosos sái. All this is organically connected with the fact that a significant number of high-quality, almost unpublished photographs from 1987 were found in the legacy of photographer Judith Szabo, which also documented anniversary concerts, from stage construction to bowing. The combination of these two things gave rise to the idea of the publication.
