Toms Rudzinskis - ABYSS II (2026)

"ABYSS II" is the second studio album by the international jazz project Toms Rudzinskis ABYSS, led by Latvian saxophonist and composer Toms Rudzinskis. It was officially released on October 17, 2026.

Toms Rudzinskis ABYSS emerged from the Berlin jazz scene and brought together musicians from Latvia, Germany, Ukraine, Sweden, and Denmark. The group's debut album (2023) won the Latvian national award, the Golden Microphone.
The second part, "ABYSS II," continues and deepens the band's signature melancholic yet powerful sound. While the first album told a personal story of modern man's search for meaning, the concept of "ABYSS II" explores the cyclical nature of world history and nature. Inspired by mythology and the rise and fall of ancient civilizations and empires, the musicians construct a monumental soundscape. The music oscillates between Tom's tightly controlled, mathematically complex compositions and the absolute freedom of open, live improvisation. The lead single in anticipation of the release is the atmospheric track "Tide." The album will be presented during the Baltic tour in October 2026.
