Listening to the responses of nature.

This composition, “finding some stuff,” follows the traces of water, wind, wood, and metal. It combines four layers, each layer including at least two materials found in nature:

1) Wind and waves of an ocean landscape, on the isle of Karpathos, Greece. Recorded in September, 2018.

2) Wind (and wood) and bird cries, bird activities:
a) Woodpeckers, De Hamert National Park, Maasduinen, Netherlands. Recorded in March, 2023.
b) Crows, In the fields between Krefeld and Kempen, Germany. Recorded in February, 2024.

3) Fragments of metal and wood from old machines found near the Manoir Cleyou in Ergué-Gabéric, Bretagne, France. Recorded in August, 2013, with recording assistance from Bileam Kümper.

4) Organ pipes (wood and metal) and organ wind in St Thomas Morus, Krefeld, Germany. Recorded in January, 2024.

Listening to the sheer endless breath of nature, to the variety, fragility and tenderness of nature.
