Smote - A Grand Stream (2024) [Hi-Res]

The fourth album from English drone rock outfit Smote, A Grand Stream was titled for the happy circumstances of its creation in the summer of 2023, when leader Daniel Foggin and his drummer would go to the pub by a stream after a hard day’s recording. Not that that has particularly revealed itself in the album’s sonics: A Grand Stream is a psychically charged inward journey into the soul, recalling no wave and krautrock artists like Swans and Amon Düül.
