New York City industrial rock/metal and noise rock act Uniform succeed last year's mint Boris collaboration Bright New Disease with a new studio LP. A harrowing yet cathartic onslaught of caustic vocals, mutating riffs occasionally cloaked in feedback, spiralling instrumentals, and pounding percussion, American Standard details personal struggles such as body dysmorphia, bulimia, eating disorders, and the associated mania and self-hatred which comes with it. Interpol bassist Brad Truax contributes.
