In the early '70s, Bunny Walters was a household name in New Zealand and one of the best known entertainment faces and voices on TV and radio. His mighty voice and style are unique, and he can be easily recognised after singing just a few lyrics.
His first single “Just Out Of Reach” was released in 1970 when he was only 16, and his musical evolution began. He had TV appearances on 'Happen Inn' and 'The Rock ‘n’ Roll Special', and also appeared on 'The Country Touch'. Performances at Expo 70 in Japan had local critics pronouncing him “New Zealand’s greatest pop singer”, and with blockbuster local hits like “Brandy”, “Take The Money And Run” and “Nearest Thing To Heaven”, we can easily see why.
Now, for the first time on digital services, a new collection from his outstanding body of recorded work – Bunny Walters - “Evolution”. Well worth a listen soon !
