Permanens was written almost entirely using a bow on the following: acoustic bass, guitar, cymbals, springs, metal, wood, steel string, and other prepared instruments in addition to field recordings taken from bodies of water along the Pacific North West and ran together through a series of analog and digital effect pedals.
