DJBLACKMETA - AMMO (2024) [Hi-Res]

DJBLACKMETA begins from the premise “homecoming leads to revelations.” It is the multimedia collaborative vehicle for travis and Jordan Reyes, both of the long-running gospel industrial band ONO. Solidified as a moniker and idea while on a homecoming trip to Itawamba County, Mississippi in August 2023, DJBLACKMETA interrogates Southern culture, history, transhumanism, jazz, hip hop, and more through word, sound, and visuals. Its first two editions are the albums “AMMO” and “BLACKOUT,” released digitally on 26AUG24.

Of the two albums, “AMMO” is more song-oriented, more kinetic. It was recorded in 2023 at Chicago’s Electrical Audio with Cooper Crain and features contributions from Ben Baker Billington, Patrick Shiroishi, Lia Kohl, Ambre Sala, Dawei Wang, Connor Tomaka, and Adam Conway. It was mastered by Felix Davis at Metropolis Studios.
