Lagos Paris London captures a fantasy musical collaboration for Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis – playing with drumming icon Tony Allen, alongside percussion, keys, bass and guitar from Allen's regular musicians. So, when the much-loved musician passed away before the sessions were fully completed, the only conceivable option was to flesh out the set of jazzy and dubby rock tunes that flourished from this two-day jam, honouring Allen's wish.
