Lukas De Clerck - The Telescopic Aulos of Atlas (2024) [Hi-Res]

Brussels-based musician and artist Lukas De Clerck presents what can only be described as a piece of sonic archaeology on The Telescopic Aulos Of Atlas, released on Stephen O’Malley of Sunn O)))’s Ideologic Organ label. Based around the ancient Greco-Roman instrument the aulos, whose playing technique and sound is virtually unknown, it’s a fascinating theoretical and practical projection using De Clerck’s background in minimalist and drone music.
