The Bilbaon saxophonist based in Barcelona, Victor de Diego debuts his latest record Tribute, a personal take on some standards that is also complemented by self-composed songs. The record comes with all the uniqueness that the trio format can provide. Two heavyweights of Catalan jazz, the bassist Jordi Gaspar and drummer Gonzalo del Val, complete this group. The result is perfect: a real tribute, expressed from a strong identity, by those historic musicians that according to Victor, have left a mark on his vocation as jazzman.
