Monica Tomescu-Rohde - Heart of the Mountain (2024) Hi-Res

Monica Tomescu-Rohde is an active concert pianist and chairman of Musikkens Venner Drammen. She is also the leader of Norway's first concert series dedicated exclusively to female composers: "Female tracks in music history". Since 2017, she has curated over 50 concerts and presented around 60 female composers to a wide audience. The concert series has been nominated twice for "classical presenter of the year" under arena:klassik.
In order to better highlight music written by women, in 2022 she founded the record company "Frøya Productions" together with soprano Marit Sehl, and the company's first record "Frøya's songs" was launched on 8 March 2023.
Currently, Monica is preparing the solo album "Heart of the Mountain" with works written by the Norwegian composer Theodora Cormontan, and is touring with the concert performance "Fanny's year", based on Fanny's Mendelsshon-Hensel's piano piece "Das Jahr".
