Dorothy Ashby - Afro-Harping (Deluxe) (1968)

The first in a trilogy of soul-jazz albums by the legendary Dorothy Ashby, Afro Harping is probably the most notable work of jazz harp ever recorded. Funky and still fresh even after some fifty-six years, it's no wonder Afro Harping has been sampled by the likes of Kendrick Lamar, J Dilla, and Madlib. This reissue has been remastered from the original ¼ inch tapes, and also includes eight bonus tracks and studio chatter.
