Ricchi & Poveri - Mamma Maria (1982) {2010, Reissue}

Ricchi e Poveri (The Rich and the Poor) were born in Genoa in 1967 as a polyphonic quartet, made up of two female and two male voices: Angela Brambati, Marina Occhiena, Franco Gatti and Angelo Sotgiu. Ricchi e Poveri are among the best-selling Italian artists in the world. In the 70s and 80s some of their singles reached the top of the Italian and international charts. They participate in twelve editions of the Sanremo Festival, arriving in second place twice and winning in 1985 with "Se M’Innamoro". Among the most successful songs: The First Beautiful Thing, What Will Be, It will Be Because I Love You, Mamma Maria and Voulez Vous Danser.

Some songs including Come I Wish, Piccolo Amore and Confiandoli Su Di Noi have become the theme songs of popular television broadcasts. In 2017 they made an international tour and released the single Marikita, distributed by Sony Music and chosen by Fausto Brizzi for the soundtrack of the Christmas film Poveri ma Ricchi. In 2018 they celebrate half a century of successes, more than 20 million records sold worldwide and an intergenerational repertoire with the show 50 YEARS OF ... RICCHI E POVERI, produced by DM Produzioni with its debut at the Teatro Colosseo in Turin.
