Dancefloor jazz force Plantfood have been making a buzz in the North of England since 2021 which saw the release of their debut single, Monstera. Recorded in a uni house basement, this started a journey which has taken the band across the country, closing out festival stages at the likes of Glastonbury. Having crafted and refined their musical approach over three years of live performance, Plantfood are proud to finally present their debut album, “Carnivores.” "Carnivores" envisions an apocalyptic future where the plants rise to power, taking over and consuming all around them. The music paints these chaotic and contrasting scenes with a heavy and cataclysmic sound palette. As you explore deeper into the album, you'll also find moments of vulnerability, hope and spirituality as the balance of earth’s natural order is restored. In totality, the album is a blood-pumping journey designed to make you move and thrash around, releasing pent up emotions, paired with gentle moments of reflection and pensivity.
