Mayra Andrade is an award-winning singer and performer from Cape Verde. Her music reflects the diversity of the places she has lived in, and each album depicts a specific stage of her life. She combines traditional Cape Verdean rhythms with modern projections, creating new sounds and exploring new angles. Her latest album “Manga” showcases the sunny intimacy and unique alchemy between her voice, history and Afrobeats energy. Mayra Andrade reveals herself more and becomes freer from established codes, presenting a strong and modern female sound.
