Katsushika Trio - M.R.I_Mirai (2023)

Tetsuo Sakurai (bass), Akira Jimbo (drums), and Minoru Mukoya (keyboards), all of whom were members of Japan's leading fusion band “Casiopea” in its early days, began their activities as the “Katsushika Trio” in 2021. The trio performed in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Yokohama, and their live shows in all five venues were a frenzy of excitement for audiences of all ages, from longtime fans to the young. The group gained further momentum with the release of “Katsushika Trio” on July 8, 2022, a three-song single that was distributed on the iTunes Store Jazz Chart, and the subsequent single that was distributed on e-onkyo music (high-resolution distribution), which was ranked No. 1 on the Jazz Album Chart, creating a huge buzz. The album was a big hit.
In addition to these popular works, the album contains all of the new songs that have been performed at live concerts, and is released as a 10-song album! The album comes with self-liner notes by the three members, which include secret stories about the creation of the album, allowing you to enjoy the songs with a deeper understanding of the music.
The three members, who spent their twenties sharpening their sensibilities together in one of Japan's leading bands, “Casiopea,” have come together to embody the true meaning of enjoying music to the fullest, and this album is filled with music that is “mature” in a good sense, and will captivate the listener in no time.
