Posy - The Garden (2024)

POSY, a musician from the Pacific Northwest, released his album The Garden on the Bastard Jazz label. He used analog equipment and a traditional studio to create a warm sound. The album was created in solitude, where POSY recorded voice notes on guitar, which he then processed in the studio. Unlike other contemporary jazz artists, POSY creates more detailed miniature portraits through improvisation and theory. The album opens with the track “Haru,” followed by the vibrant track “All The Time” featuring the voice of Tien Viet Nguyen. “Reflecting Light” is reminiscent of smooth jazz thanks to Brandon-Lee Sirley's saxophone. The album also includes the tracks “Netami”, “Mount Yufu” and the vocal track “Dreaming In Blue” featuring the voice of Jennyfire. The album is a cohesive whole where each track is part of a larger space to be explored and enjoyed.
