The debut album a t l a s by New York-based vocalist, composer, and producer Charlotte Jacobs unfolds like a half-remembered Greek epic in avant-pop form. Blending earthy woodwinds, vintage synths, and shifting rhythmic patterns, it amplifies Jacobs' myth-inspired, bilingual vocals in Dutch and English. Released by Grammy-winning label New Amsterdam Records, a t l a s retains the fluidity and vocal-centric style of her 2021 EP The Shape of Wandering.

For the first time, spoken language appears in her music, adding depth to the vocal dynamics. Jacobs played most of the instruments herself and collaborated with a talented cast, including harpist Rebecca El Saleh, drummer Raf Vertessen, flautist/saxophonist Charlotte Greve, and violinist Hannah Epperson.
