Zettalogue represents the documentation of a three-year process of writing, rehearsing, performing and recording new music. The pieces on the album are contrasting - some pieces are upbeat and energetic such as 'Drone Yer Sorrows'. Others such as 'The Rise of the Lizard People' are based on a clave using rhythmic structures derived from Konnakol (South Indian Classical Music) and West African Music. There is also a melancholic ballad - 'The Trouble with Faith'. This reflects Ivo's own journey with faith. Above all, he would find it comforting to be able to have faith in humanity. In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King: "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice."
