Sensitive, expressive, courageous and tender - four words that immediately come to mind when thinking about the Eva Klesse Quartet and its protagonists. 'Stimmen' is possibly their most personal and political album to date. Together with guest musicians Michael Schiefel (voice), Zuza Jasinska (voice) and Philipp Rumsch (sound design, electronics), Evgeny Ring (saxophone), Philip Frischkorn (piano), Marc Muellbauer (double bass) and Eva Klesse (drums) they create a complex sound cosmos. 'Stimmen' is a musical essay that does not shy away from confronting pain, sadness, anger and despair and at the same time repeatedly talks about hope.
