This compilation highlights an important moment in Venezuelan pop music. PP'S (Pedro Pérez Show) led a new wave scene in the 80s, influencing bands like Sentimiento Muerto and Desorden Público. Pedro Pérez, born in 1956, studied film in Montreal and San Francisco, forming bands like the Latin Jazz Band and New Robots. PP'S released three albums in the 80s, blending danceable, progressive music with new wave and influences like Talking Heads and Pink Floyd.

After a hiatus and censorship in 1986, Pérez resumed with two more albums in 2012 and 2014. Today, with a new lineup, he continues performing. This compilation by El Palmas Music showcases songs from PP'S first three albums, preserving Venezuelan musical heritage and capturing the diverse, genre-blending essence of the band.
