Hypogea presents on his Subsist debut album Olga, each track is meticulously prepared, featuring strong textures and aggressive percussion, along with natural sounds and strummed melodies. These elements reflect a distinctive and clean sound, characteristic of Hypogea. Alejandro Villa, A.k.a Hypogea, is a DJ and producer originally from Pereira, Colombia. He began his career in electronic music in 2015, exploring the intense and strummed sounds of industrial techno. Over time, his music has evolved towards faster and rhythmic sounds, incorporating hypnotic and dynamic elements in his sets and productions. Hypogea is the founder of the Estrato Zero collective, a platform that promotes diversity and innovation in electronic music. His latest album is inspired by Colombia, fusing natural sounds from its mountains with glitches recorded in industrial areas. This album offers 14 tracks that explore diverse branches such as raw, hard groove, breakbeat and DnB.
