Samuel Petit, active for over 10 years with the group Sinsémilia, now presents his album “TODOBEN” in the pure form of a jazz trio. After 20 years of sharing the stage with singers of Oriental, French chanson, Cuban and reggae styles, he brings us 8 instrumental compositions at the crossroads of classical, jazz and world music. A music based on simplicity, lyricism and emotion, where melody remains the primary guide. Compositions like musical ballads, sublimated by the finesse of Michel Molines on double bass and Guillaume Bertrand on drums. Tinged with oriental or Latin accents, Todoben's mixed jazz sometimes evokes the music of Ibrahim Maalouf, Avishai Cohen or Chilly Gonzales.
