The music needed to reflect both the town’s shared history and the unresolved tensions that continue to influence its people. The series is deeply rooted in the emotional and social scars left by past events, and the score had to embody this sense of connection and conflict. At the core of the score is the main theme, which is built around low, swelling brass chords and intertwining string patterns, known as ostinatos. The brass serves as a sonic anchor, representing the weight of the town’s troubled past. It gives the music a sense of heaviness and gravity, symbolizing how the history of the town lingers over its present. The intertwining string ostinatos, on the other hand, represent the ongoing tensions and unresolved conflicts that flow through the community. These repeating patterns reinforce the idea that, despite the fractures and divisions, everything and everyone in this story remains interconnected.
