Pianists George Shearing and Marian McPartland, both originally from England, teamed up for this polite but swinging affair. In addition to an original apiece and a collaboration, the duo is heard on seven standards and the results are quite tasteful, as one would expect from these fine players. Few surprises occur but the results are pleasing.
