Walter Trout - Broken (2024) CD-Rip

The blues rock legend's next studio album was released on March 1, 2024 on the Provogue label. The 72-year-old veteran and virtuoso guitarist presented fans with 12 new original tracks (three of which were co-written with his wife Marie), including one luxurious instrumental Love Of My Life, dedicated to Walter's wife. Among the famous guests on the album were Beth Hart (Broken), Dee Snyder (I've Had Enough) and British harmonica master Will Wilde (Bleed), and all the invited artists performed "perfectly".
Despite his age, Walter does not want to rest on his laurels:
“I have to grow up. I want to be a performer who makes a vital contribution. I feel young (although I know I'm not). But I'm still 25 at heart, and I want to get better and do something new. I have a lot more to say.”
In response to today's tense economic and political situation around the world, Walter states the following:"I've always tried to write songs in a positive way, but this album isn't quite like that. However, I always keep hope alive. That's why I recorded this CD. Despite what is happening in the world today, I will stubbornly hold on to my idealism and not lose hope." Despite the name of the disc Broken, in fact, this album became for Walter and his fans an escape from everything that is destroyed in today's world. It's nice to feel that despite the obvious dissatisfaction with the current situation in the world, Trout does not vent his anger, but puts his whole heart and soul into his music, thereby trying not to destroy, but to create. Walter believes that music is able to restore what has been destroyed — albeit slowly, but each note gives its contribution.
