Peter Garland - The Days Run Away (2000)

Days Run Away presents some of Peter Garland's piano compositions that will stun you with their beauty and spacious simplicity. All are compositions from the '70s except the opener, "Bright Angel-Hermetic Bird," which Garland wrote in 1996. Through the intuitive performance by Aki Takahashi, the music quietly develops into a stillness of beauty and calm honesty. Simple notes of light and gratitude become more powerful the more gently they are played in graceful repetitions.
