Après le "zappe Zappa" de 1998, ce "pirate autorisé" (enregistré live en Allemagne) est le second opus du quintet de Pierrejean Gaucher qui a survolé durant quelques années l'univers musical de Frank Zappa. Le formation est ici renouvelée puisqu'un clavier remplace le second guitariste du disque précédent. Un répertoire assez proche du premier mais plus improvisé et déjanté, et avec une énergie particulière ce soir-là ! L'esprit des "Mothers" avec George Duke n'est pas loin.

After the "zappe Zappa" of 1998, this "authorized pirate" (recorded live in Germany) is the second opus of Pierrejean Gaucher's quintet, which for a few years flew over Frank Zappa's musical universe. The formation is renewed here since a keyboard replaces the second guitarist of the previous disc. A repertoire quite close to the first one but more improvised and crazy, and with a particular energy that night! The spirit of the "Mothers" with George Duke is not far away...
