Jazz vocalist Anita O'Day was always known for her way with old standards, performing great songs with a confident swing, clever phrasing, and a sweetly sexy undertow. In 1970, O'Day and her combo recorded a handful of popular holiday songs with a jazz accent, and Have a Merry Christmas with Anita O'Day presents eight Yuletide classics in O'Day's inimitable style, perfect for a late-night Christmas get-together or a relaxing evening for classic jazz fans. Selections include "Let It Snow," "Jingle Bells," and "The Christmas Song," the latter appearing in two versions, one recorded during the 1970 sessions and an archival recording from 1942.
