Following earlier Christmas releases Winter Wonderland: A Christmas Celebration and The Sounds Of Christmas - Rare Holiday Gems, Jasmine released two more compilations in 2014 - this one and Snowbound For Christmas - Fun Songs, Classics and Rarities. Between them, they contain plenty of Christmas music from the forties and fifties. While there has been some attempt to keep music by each artist on one compilation, there are some artists whose music is split between different compilations. Still, if (like me), you collect the series, you won't miss anything.

The biggest contributors to this compilation are Ethel Smith (last eight tracks of CD 1), Hugo Winterhalter (first ten tracks of CD 2) and the Weavers (last ten tracks of CD 2). There are three tracks by Red Foley and two by Dinah Shore, but you can find more tracks by each of them on Snowbound For Christmas - Fun Songs, Classics and Rarities.

The first half of CD 1 features big names such as Perry Como, Eddie Fisher, Patti Page and Brook Benton, who I never tire of hearing although I had most of these tracks elsewhere.

My favorites here are the Pinetoppers (an instrumental version of Parade of the wooden soldiers plus two trackd featuring a female vocal group) along with the Weavers, Dinah Shore and Red Foley, but there's a lot of great Christmas music here.
