Philipp Greter is a genius. He is not only the keyboardist of the acclaimed Swiss Dub band Dub Spencer & Trance Hill he is also the producer and mastermind behind the band and responsible for the crisp project ‘William S. Burroughs In Dub’. Philipp has worked with and for The Young Gods, Yello mastermind Dieter Meier, Lee Scratch Perry, dub-maestro Gaudi, Youth, Tim Bran of Dreadzone amongst many others.

As we know that DUB is not any longer a genre specific branding in the world of sound effects and musical vibe with offbeat flavour – it is growing constantly and ‘Greter Than Dub’ ends in this world and feels like a deconstructed version of minimal tech house inna ambient style. Almost everything on this album is grooving, swinging, vibrating and echoing in delay. It is not only an album for the dance floor it is also a soundscape travel for the comfortable sofa trip.

After his first solo album on hybrid records (the label from UMBERTO ECHO) in 2019; ‘Greter Than Dub’ is the logical consequence of progress and quality and feels like harmonic reflections and healing moments of what´s going on in this dubby world…! MIND BLOWING !
