Vernell Brown Jr. - Stay Tuned (1992)

The young keyboardist Vernell Brown Jr. showed great potential in the early 1990s. This CD, however, finds him choosing to play easy-listening R&B not that far from the Ramsey Lewis vein. The music is quite predictable, lightly funky, and its main purpose was clearly to get radio airplay. Lightweight background music.
