Review
"Fifty Second Street was a vocal team made up of Wendy Simon and the late pianist/vocalist Eric Shaw. This CD is a sorely needed often requested reissue from 1985... Credible renowned lyricist and producer Ray Passman has assembled a most unique CD here. One of his songs Miss Harper Goes Bizarre is performed as a solo for Ms. Simon. Its a most complex deep love song including within its text many vintage magazine names. Its certain to remain with you for a long time. There are a pair of profound Bob Dorough songs. Love: Websters Definition and Ive Got Just About Everything. On the first, Wendy tenderly croons this under performed masterpiece. On the second, Wendy lets it all hang out by swinging and squeezing the life out of this wonderful fun filled jam-packed song. Their take on the novelty Everybody Eats When They Come To My House will leave you euphoric and entirely satisfied. Their food laden vocal teamwork here really exhibits togetherness. I adored their enthusiastic My Favorite Things They completely update this familiar song. With an imaginative extended bass solo by Craig Thomas, their vocal squeezes in lyrically most of our long remembered jazz players names. It's as hip as it gets." --Dan Singer, In Tune International, March 2009
