THALA, a Berlin-born musician, began her public music career in 2019 as a street performer and quickly gained attention in the music industry. Influenced by artists like Mazzy Star, Beach House, and Cigarettes After Sex, she crafts dreamy soundscapes with a retro touch, blending 70s vibes with 80s/90s shoegaze and psych elements. Her music, characterized by angelic vocals and introspective lyrics, has been described as wistful and emotionally resonant.

Her debut album, produced in collaboration with Michael Kümper, balances her songwriting with his production, creating ethereal recordings. The first single, "Serenade," showcases her ability to evoke a relaxing, nostalgic atmosphere. Critics have praised her work for its subconscious depth and unique fusion of vintage and modern indie influences. THALA's debut LP was released on September 17, 2021, under Born Losers Records (US) and Duchess Box Records (Berlin).
