Aaron Edgcomb - Sisters Songbook (2026) [Hi-Res]

Sisters Songbook is a collection of jazz compositions recorded to commemorate a weekly concert series hosted at the Brooklyn venue Sisters between 2017 and 2020. The project captures the experience of an artist navigating the excitement and uncertainty of a new city. The residency provided a vital space for musicians to collaborate, experiment, and develop a shared musical language. After the series concluded in March 2020, the creator returned to these works to honor the community that formed there. Musicians Max Light, Isaac Levien, and Alfredo Colón join this effort as enduring collaborators. The album serves as a love letter to the process of artistic growth and the friendships forged through consistent performance.
