Silhouettes: A Dream Sphere Journal is an EP by Jonathan Enser of Nubiyan Twist that explores disability, decolonial thought, and artistic expression. Inspired by Enser’s experience with chronic pain and an impending amputation, the EP reflects on resilience and liberation through a fusion of African diasporic influences, improvisation, rap, classical arrangements, and experimental sounds.

Crafted at East London’s Total Refreshment Centre, Silhouettes serves as both a cathartic expression and a manifesto for reimagining the world through a decolonial lens. Enser, known for collaborations with icons like Nile Rodgers and Mulatu Astatke, gathers top talents such as members of Nerija, Nala Sinephro, and Nubya Garcia’s bands to create a rich, multi-layered sonic experience.

The EP features collaborations with Onipa, Cuban vocalist Flavio Correa, and NEONE the Wonderer, addressing themes of confinement and liberation. Each track encourages reflection on healing, empowerment, and cultural reclamation.

Ultimately, Silhouettes stands as both a personal and collective call to action, urging listeners to use creativity and solidarity to envision a more liberated future.
