Sander Boury spent his life entrenched in the rhythm and pulse of music, starting his journey as a drummer.
However, the evolution of Sander Boury as a musician took a surprising turn during the Covid period when he discovered affinity for the piano and saxophone. Driven by curiosity and a desire to expand his musical horizons, mastering both instruments largely as an autodidact. This newfound versatility allowed him to weave together the distinct sounds of the drums, piano, saxophone and some other instruments into his unique self-written compositions.
In the summer of 2023, Sander Boury expanded his musical vision by collaborating with Jonathan Frederix (HEISA and The Shovels). Jonathan brought in his expertise in live percussion and drums, enhancing Sander's compositions with an added layer of rhythmic energy. Together, they perform the compositions of Sander that can be described as a cinematic eclectic mix between genres with influences of jazz and ethnic music.
