On this excursion, “Recuerdos De Mi Madre (Memories of my Mother)”, the internationally acclaimed Jazz vocalist takes us on a beautiful nostalgic journey weaving the Latin songs she learned with her mother as a child. From the pens of great Mexican, Cuban and Latin American composers, Jackie embraces these themes with heartfelt passion and performs them through a Latin Jazz lens, transcending them into the 21st century with inspired fervor, evoking their poetic and melodic beauty with her inimitable phrasing and crystalline voice.

“This music has lived within me since I was very young,” explains Jackie. “This was the first music I heard in my home, and I believe my mother’s love of music, and her own happy singing, are what inspired me to become a singer. I hope that listeners will feel some of the joy and warmth that I felt when I first heard this music with my sweet mother. For me, her spirit will always live on in the songs she sang and loved to play.”
