The first EP to be released by me under the name The Rotor Delta, the mini-album features elements of Psyche-Rock, Americana, folk and blues. The title track is about paranoia, and madness - I was imagining a Lynch Road movie, widescreen vistas and fragile memories. I was always taken by the visuals and weirdness from David Lynch, the artistry and approach was a heavy influence for the sound of some of the tracks on the record.
Recorded these tracks in my little box room i call the Blue box studios, there is a range of sounds on the album, but mostly the guitars are my telecaster and an assortment of acoustics, and various bass guitars (I have settled on a 5 string now for the low b. I am fond of alternate tunings, there are a lot of those across the songs. Occasionally I take things down to the bare bones, and the song gets more personal, those influences from older songwriters rear their heads a little.
A lot of the ep is about isolation, nostalgia, regret, pain, longing and holding it together when all seems lost, the theme repeats itself over the course of the record.
