Introducing the sonic concoction that is brkfstblend, a Tokyo-based band brewing up an intoxicating blend of modern AOR, soul, and psychedelic rock reminiscent of the golden era of the 60s and 70s. With a name that suggests the perfect fusion of flavors, brkfstblend serves up a musical feast that satisfies the soul and invigorates the senses.
The three members of brkfstblend have been active in the Asian music scene for over 10 years. Michael Kaneko (vo/gt), a solo singer-songwriter; Keity (bass), formerly the bassist for the popular Japanese band Lucky Tapes; and Tetsushi Kasuya (drums), formerly the drummer for the popular indie rock band Yogee New Waves. Individually, they have performed at some of the biggest festivals in Japan (Fuji Rock, Summer Sonic etc), and have also played all over Asia.
