The sound is magnificent - detailed, full-bodied, and with excellent ambience from the rear channels. This truly is recording at its current best, and the opening of the Lutoslawski will knock your socks off."

I especially like Lutoslawski's bold opening with the tympani. Along with catchy folk melodies, there are moments of transcendent beauty in the Bartok concerto, especially the song "Hungary, Gracious and Beautiful", which is interrupted in an ugly manner, symbolizing the arrival of tyranny.
