Since her debut "Nordzee" (2009), Eve Beuvens has released almost exclusively on Igloo, shaping her musical journey in many constellations from solo, trio, quartet to septet.

"Lysis" is inspired by poems by Robert Frost and Edna Millay, with its own humor and dreamy character, which is why singer Lynn Cassiers became part of the new trio line-up. Double bassist Lennart Heyndels, who, like Lynn Cassiers, also contributes electronic elements, was added. The term "lysis" describes the biological degradation mechanism of a cell membrane - in a figurative sense an illustration of the musical process: crossing boundaries and deconstructing preconceived forms in order to patiently allow the unexpected to emerge. With "Lysis", the pianist returns to the trio format. This time, acoustic instrumentation is mixed with electronics to create an innovative and daring sound. In combination with the sophisticated compositions, the result is ten completely unique pieces.
