Muneer Nasser - A Soldier's Story (2019)

Muneer Nasser, the son of the late great bassist Jamil Nasser, is a multi-instrumentalist, jazz historian and author. He plays the trumpet, flugelhorn, piano, congas, bass and various other instruments. A Soldier’s Story is the musical companion of the book, Upright Bass: The Musical Life and Legacy of Jamil Nasser. The heartfelt zeal embodied in this musical tribute reflects the not only my love and respect for my father’s musical and humanitarian efforts but those of musicians selected to play on this album
