Pumuky - No Sueltes Lo Efímero (2025)

Pumuky, led by brothers Jaír and Noé Ramírez from Tenerife, returns with their fifth album, *No sueltes lo efímero* (*Don't Let Go of the Ephemeral*), set for release on February 28, 2025, via Keroxen. After a decade without a full-length album, the band—now joined by Mariano Gracia and Albert Morales—maintains their signature blend of slowcore, shoegaze, and dream-pop.

Despite lineup changes and the challenges of island life, Pumuky has built a deeply personal discography over two decades, releasing music on labels like Jabalina, WeAreWolves, and Keroxen. Their 2020 EP *Castillo Interior* received praise for its hypnotic sound, later remixed by Xiu Xiu and Dntel. They also collaborated with Elinor Almenara (VVV [Trippin'you]) on *Metahackeo* (2022), contributing to the darkwave resurgence post-pandemic.

The band has performed extensively across Europe and Latin America, with festival appearances at Primavera Sound, WOMAD, and NRMAL. *No sueltes lo efímero* was recorded at La Mina Studios in Granada with acclaimed producer Raúl Pérez and mastered by ambient music figure Rafael Anton Irisarri. The album marks a return to their raw, emotionally charged sound, balancing controlled crescendos, abrasive textures, and poetic lyricism, making them a unique force in Spanish indie music.
