Daniele Gregolin feat. Clan Zingaro - Spaghetti Gipsy (2015)

Gypsy rhythms, classic swing of Italian songs and the most famous compositions of giant Django Reinhardt are the main dish of Spaghetti Gipsy, which is flavored with historical Italian manifesto songs (Carosone, Tagliavini) and American songs (Duke Ellington, Michael Jackson), as well as an unreleased Gregolin song dedicated to Reinhardt and his passion for fishing.
There is no shortage of electric twists, swing big band atmosphere and even "tabloid" cinematic orchestrations.
Spaghetti Gipsy is a modern manifesto of black and white Italy, pompous and rich, but also witty and naive, today infected with new rhythms united by the common denominator of jazz swing. Gypsy and French rhythms, as well as constant admixtures, do not overshadow the pronounced Italian nature of music, but, on the contrary, emphasize its features, grandeur and historical elegance of Italy, reflected in simple songs. Tradition and a deep sense of respect for the past leave complete freedom to musical vision without the boundaries of time and genre, tradition meets modernity in a stream of contamination in a vital journey of music that fearlessly projects itself into the future with a suitcase full of postcards, memories and objects from the past that it cannot and does not want to forget.
