Maestitia - Hate of Sorrow (2025)

Maestitia's 2025 debut full-length album, *Hate of Sorrow*, marks the French melodic black/death metal band's return after nearly a decade. Formed in 2014 by Dave Guilhan, Maestitia released their first EP, *Blood Tears*, in 2016 before taking a hiatus due to health issues and the pandemic. The band reassembled in 2023 with a new lineup and began working on this album, which was released on April 18, 2025, through the Polish label Via Nocturna.

The album features a blend of black and death metal with influences from thrash and heavy metal. Recording took place in both home studios and Burning Wood’s Studio, with mixing and mastering by Boc. The cover artwork was created by surrealist digital artist George Grie. The tracklist includes songs like "Hatred in My Soul," "Angels of Death," and the title track "Hate of Sorrow" .
