Lucy Alexander and Luke Cartledge, the duo that make up indie-rock band Scrounge, first bonded over a mutual love of SOPHIE. Their first full-length album Almost Like You Could, following their 2022 mini-LP Sugar, Daddy, is a fiery art-punk affair that reflects that love of the avant-garde they first connected over, and features the raw, honest single ‘Higher’.
