Almamegretta - Animamigrante (2019)

The album, released shortly after the mini-album Sons of Hannibal, firmly establishes the group’s distinctive style, characterized by the use of the Neapolitan dialect and its fusion with electronic music, as well as Arabic, African, and dub/reggae influences.

This new approach to music-making is almost hypnotic. Although the group had previously been associated with rap, the members emphasize that their true orientation lies in the music born in the alleys of Naples. The lyrics touch on themes such as multiculturalism, war, social issues, and the challenges faced by Southern Italy.
